Topic
Organisational Innovation Culture
Two organisations can hire equally talented people and get very different results. The difference is usually cultural: whether people feel safe to say what they think, whether ideas have somewhere to go, and whether leaders follow through. This topic is about building that environment deliberately.
What It Means
The shared habits that decide whether an organisation keeps having good ideas and acts on them: how people are listened to, how feedback is treated, how fast change is introduced and whether improvement ever stops.
What You Take Away
- A walk through the Cafe LATTE method, applied to a situation you bring.
- Time to compare notes with leaders from other organisations.
- A short list of questions to take back to your own team.
Habits, not slogans
Culture shows up in small repeated behaviours: who gets listened to, what happens to a suggestion after it is made, and whether a failed experiment is discussed openly. Posters and values statements change very little unless those behaviours change too.
The Cafe LATTE method
Every session uses the same five-step sequence for its discussion, so the conversation builds rather than circles.
- L
Listen
Collect views from inside and outside the organisation before deciding what to change.
- A
Ask
Recast a grievance as a question that points towards an opening.
- T
Trust
Show that speaking up has consequences, so honest input keeps arriving.
- T
Timing
Choose when and how fast to introduce a change, in steps the team and the market can take in.
- E
Evolve
Keep revising what works instead of resting on it, and plan for a product's whole life.
From ideas to results
A healthy culture produces ideas, but it also needs a route from idea to trial to outcome. Sessions look at where that route clogs, whether in approval queues, unclear ownership or simple fatigue, and what a team can change without waiting for a reorganisation.
In the United States
Three of the Texas sessions are built on this topic: Dallas on a culture that lasts, Fort Worth on listening and asking, and Corpus Christi on trust and timing. Each takes a different step of the method as its starting point.

View Corpus Christi Workshop Details →Questions the Session Works Through
- How do you find out what staff and customers really think?
- What turns a complaint into a useful question?
- How quickly should change be introduced, and to whom first?
- How does a team keep improving once the first win has been banked?
Quick Answers
- Is this only for large organisations?
- No. Small teams often have the advantage, because feedback travels quickly and a decision can be made the same week. The session works for either.
- What is the Cafe LATTE method?
- A five-step order for discussion: Listen, Ask, Trust, Timing and Evolve. It is described on the About page.
